Elections
We held our officer and board member elections at the Jan 7th meeting.  We only had a couple new faces step up and join in.  The results are:  Pres (not up for election but,) Randy Murray, Vice President-Eric Licht, Secretary- Todd VanDenBroeke, Treasurer-Tom Salzer, ATVAM Rep-Chuck Twedt, Past Pres(continuing)-Chuck Twedt, Trails Rep-Tom Hansen, Activities Rep-Tina Peterson, and Membership Rep-Jim Peterson.  Congratulations and welcome aboard to the newbies.
 

2008 Out of State Ride
Eric has researched for the out of state ride in Feb.  Wolfpen Gap in Arkansas will be the location on Feb 16-23rd.  It is about 870 miles from St Cloud.  Mark your calendars and let him know if you would like to go, he has about 6-8 interested riders so far.
 
Monthly Ride
The next monthly ride is scheduled for March 8th @ Moose River Trails in Outing.  Should be a good ride depending on the snow.  If you plan to ride, the ride leaves the trailhead @ 9:00, please allow early enough to allow time to unload and get ready.  See the DNR website for directions and maps of the trail.
 

Trails

Eric has found out that Two Inlets-Hubbard Co shut down the trails down per DNR request to inventory trails.   Is there any interest from the club in trying to get these trails back in use?  The trails are already there, they would just need to be cleaned up and then maintained.  Eric will continue to find out more on what would need to be done.  This could be a good way for the club to get into a trails program with little cost.
  
Youth Safety Training
Classes have been set up for May 14th and August 23rd  @ the Benton CO Fairgrounds in Sauk Rapids.  Mark your calendars; we could really use the help.  
  
 Website

For those who have not heard, the new website is up and running.  Check it out @ www.granitecitytrailriders.com.  It looks really nice and is easier to navigate.  Be sure to check out the pictures and chat forum and give some input.
 

Clothing

If you would like to purchase clothing with the club logo on it, see Randy.  He brought in shirt and cap samples which are only $10 each.  Also, he can order jackets with the logo on the back for about $70.

Spring ATV fair-May 3rd ,4th

Randy is checking with ATVAM to get a booth at the fair for our club.  If you would like to volunteer to sit at the booth, we will have a sheet to sign up soon.  If you volunteer to help out, you will get free admission to the fair. 
 

Brat Sale

Randy will be going to Cub and Cashwise to get applications to fill out for the summer brat sales.  This is also a good opportunity for the club to raise money, as we have no costs involved.  All we have to do is get some volunteers to show up and sell brats.

Meeting Attendance Incentive

Jan Drawing:  Candice Rau was not present and so $5 was added for next month-$60.
Feb Drawing: Chris Pitra was not present so another $5 will be added.  The March drawing will be for $65.
You must be present and a member is good standing (dues paid up) to win.
